The Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Saulius Skvernelis, along with the leaders of the Alytus District Municipality, visited the Public Institution Alytus District Municipality Primary Health Care Center's (PHC) Daugai Supportive Treatment and Nursing Hospital. During the visit, discussions were held on the hospital’s operations, recent changes, and challenges faced by the institution. The head of the hospital, Dr. R. Gulbinas, introduced the key developments and shared insights on planned projects.

Daugai Hospital is the only healthcare institution in Alytus District that provides inpatient nursing and supportive treatment services. Recently, the hospital has undergone renovations, including the modernization of patient rooms and other facilities. Additionally, the external environment of the institution has been improved, with old and hazardous buildings being demolished.

During the visit, the Speaker of the Seimas not only inspected the hospital’s renovations but also engaged with the medical staff and patients, inquiring about their well-being and the conditions of healthcare services.
