Free vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis began on September 2nd

From September 2nd, Alytus District Primary Health Care Center (PHC) is offering free tick-borne encephalitis vaccinations to patients aged 50–55. The vaccinations will be administered at the Alytus District PHC, funded by the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund (PSDF).

Vaccination Schedule

Vaccinations at Alytus District PHC will be conducted in Room 8 on weekdays from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. To register for vaccination, please call +370 315 71413 or visit the registration desk between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

The vaccination is available in two schedules: regular and accelerated. With the regular schedule, the first two doses are given 1–3 months apart, followed by a third dose after 5–12 months, depending on the vaccine manufacturer. Booster doses may also be required at intervals recommended by the manufacturer.
